Description

Linda Nelson is a singer-songwriter who was born and raised the fifth of seven children in northern Baltimore County, a rural area as close to the Mason Dixon line as it is to the city of the same name. Her Dad is from Alabama and her Mom was from Memphis, Tennessee, southern roots that can be heard in the soft and soulful accent of her music. She’s been writing songs since she got a guitar at the age of 13, joining different bands along the way and performing as a solo artist on the Outer Banks and down in the Caribbean. She’s done opening spots for Warren Zevon, Aaron Neville, Steve Forbert and Delbert McClinton. Her fifth and newest CD is called “Waiting On The Moon” and was inspired by the Farmer’s Almanac, the months of the year and the seasons. When she’s not making music she’s cooking and baking at her family’s BBQ business.
